A fellow EPS member filed a complaint against Werth that he failed to properly investigate a death threat in 2014. Specifically, Werth failed to properly interview individuals with respect to allegations of a death threat, prematurely concluded that the death threat was unsubstantiated and did not fulfill his duty to warn the subject of the threats. The LERB in its 2016 decision did not find WerthÕs conduct to be unreasonable.
